Our corporate story
Native to Australia, the original SHOWBAGS have been making Ausie children smile for over 50 years. Down Under, these colorful bags hide prizes, along with snacks and coupons, and are sold at State and County Fairs, called SHOWS (thus the origin of the name SHOWBAGS). Although millions are sold there every year, generating and spreading lots of fun, the Showbags were bursting with potential, and seemed destined for a higher purpose across the Pacific Ocean.
In 2005, the concept of SHOWBAGS USA’sfocus on fundraising was launched, providing a platform for the product’s enormous potential for increased revenues. SHOWBAGS USA has become increasingly popular with non-profit clients, whose sales consistently show a significant jump in profits from other fundraising products previously sold. Additionally, children always smile when they open their Showbags, which makes the parents happy and builds a positive association with the non-profit organization.
SHOWBAGS USA’s “Power of a Smile” Fundraising System: The benefits of our “Power of a Smile” fundraising system go beyond monetary results. Our clients report what we refer to as an increase in “smile-power.” SHOWBAGS USA has created a kind of “pay it forward” smile system, by extending the bags’ life-cycle beyond the fun of the bag itself. By generating operating funds for Foundations and Non-profits, an organization’s beneficiaries also smile! What starts out with one child’s happy expression from receiving a SHOWBAG, continues on, as far as a particular organization can reach.
